Abstract
270,242. Dubilier Condenser Co., (1925), Ltd., (Assignees of Dubilier, W.). April 29, 1926, [Convention date]. Condensers comprise a body 1 which is shown as being of the wound type with terminal strips 2, 3 soldered or otherwise attached at each end to the projecting edges of the turns. A sheath 4 of, for example, cloth, paper or pasteboard may be disposed over the body 1 which may also be compressed by clamping members 7 held by screws or other means 8. The body is impregnated with an insulating material which is liquid at ordinary temperatures, for instance oil, and is then placed in a casing 5 which is then filled with wax 6 such as paraftin or sealing-wax which solidifies at ordinary temperatures. The casing may be of pasteboard and has openings through which the terminals extend.
