384,962. Condensers. MEIROWSKY & CO. AKT.-GES., Porz-on-Rhine, Germany. Aug. 22, 1932, No. 23514. Convention date, Aug. 22, 1931. [Class 38 (ii).] A high-voltage condenser comprises serially connected wound elements e<1>, e<2>, flattened and separated by insulating plates f<1>, f<2>, the dielectric being oilsaturated paper, enclosed in a casing with oil filling. The casing k may be of hard paper or moulded material, the metallic ends l, m, with Ings n<1>, n<2> acting as terminals. The casing may be of porcelain with petticoats to increase the leakage path. The elements may be clamped as shown between pressure plates g<1>, g<2> by tension rods h<1>, h<2> of insulating material or of metal coated with an insulator.
