[Class 38 (ii).] A single wire is used to act both as a clamp for the set of plates and as an external lead, in a fixed condenser. In the example a wire 15, Fig. 8, is bent so as to form a double rectangular loop with crimped ends adapted to be forced over a condenser assembly and into contact with the folded over ends 13, 14 of the foils. Fig. 7 shows a small condenser with two foils 11<a>, 11<b> only, with mica or like dielectric sheets 10.
