Abstract
543,279. Condensers. SPORING, P. A., and TELEGRAPH CONDENSER CO., Ltd. Dec. 18, 1940, No. 17832. [Class 37] To enable condensers to be manufactured within close tolerances of the desired capacity, a tubular condenser 1 is made with definitely less capacity and, after measurement, is permanently associated with a second condenser 4 chosen from a batch of much smaller capacities to bring the combined condenser to standard. In the example, the smaller condenser is slipped into the larger condenser, and after encasing in a paper &c. tube, spiral terminal wires are crushed, at each end, on to the projecting lugs or foils 3, 5 to connect the condensers in parallel.
