Abstract

236,410. Bowers, H. F., and Bowers, E. V. Aug. 28, 1924. Tuning - apparatus construction of. - A tuning device com prises a variable con denser one end plate 5 is secured to a strip 7 provided with flanges by which it is secured to the inner face of an insulating cylinder 1. An in ductance comprising two sections 17, 19 is wound on the cylin der 1, the far ends of the sections being connected to the terminals of the condenser and the adjacent ends to a common terminal 18. A coil 20 of lower inductance is wound on the cvlinder 1 between the sections 17, 19 and is connected to terminals 21, 22, which may be connected to the aerial and earth. The end-plate 5 may be secured to a panel 11 through which the spindle 10 passes.
