Abstract
260,035. Clough, N. H. July 20, 1925. Condensers.-A condenser having a variable absorption of energy and preferably means to maintain its capacity constant is used as a damping device for oscillatory circuits. The energy absorption may be effected by using a dielectric Q, Fig. 6, having appreciable loss between plates N, O, a compensating plate P being provided to maintain the capacity constant. In a modification a fixed or variable resistance M is used, Fig. 5, or alternatively one or more of the condenser plates may be formed of high-resistance material-
