487,615. Heating water. HALL BOILERS, Ltd., and HALL, W. Feb. 19, 1937, No. 5018. [Class 64 (i)] A low-pressure steam or hot-water boiler has water tubes 6 extending from front to back of the boiler and a fuel hopper in one side, which is in the form of a U above the fuel inlet 3, the flue gas outlet 5 being formed at the bottom 4 of the U at the back of the boiler, the tendency of the gases to pass directly to the rear being met by sloping the tubes down from the back to the front. Two boilers may be combined with sloping grates 2, which may have forced draught. Further tubes 7 may be arranged within water walls 4 supplied by a water drum 9, or baffles 8 are formed within each U to increase the flue.
