[Class 44] A hose &c. suspender-grip comprises a substantially rectangular loop 11 of spring wire having off-set limbs 14 which provide a restriction or throat 15, the inturned ends 17 of the wire normally abutting within a hom 16 formed at the end of the portion 9 of a strap, the other portion 8 of which carries the cooperating member of the grip. This member comprises a plate 18 the lower edge 21 of which may be of elliptical form and a plate 19 forming a finger-piece, the end of strap 8 being secured in the slot or groove between the parts 18, 19. The upper edge 22 of plate 18 may be formed with a projection 23, or, in a modification, with cam surfaces. In use the hose, &c. is placed between the parts 11, 18, and the lower edge 21 of plate 18 is then passed through and engaged behind the lower cross-bar 13 of the loops 11. Part 18 is then moved upwards to engage the projection 23, or the cam surfaces in the throat 15, the limbs 14 yielding and providing frictional grip. The strap 8, 9 is secured to the lower end of the garment &c. strap 2 by a wire loop 3 having an off-set portion in which the strap 8, 9 rests, the gap between the inturned ends 7 of the wire being disposed towards one end of loop 3 to facilitate insertion of strap 2.
