Abstract

225,019. Bladon, W. E. Oct. 16, 1923. Attaching lamps &c. to wearing-apparel.- Means for attaching lamps or other articles to belts &c. comprise a slide on one part adapted to engage a guide on the other part, one of the parts being provided with a spring having a head' adapted to engage a shoulder or opening in the other part to lock the two parts together. The slide comprises a plate 9 secured to a member 7 provided with lateral extensions 8 for threading on a belt, the edges of the plate being adapted to engage in a slotted channel plate 3 secured to the back of the lamp or other article 1. A plate spring 12 is secured at its lower end behind the member 7 and is formed with a head having an inclined face 13 and a shoulder 14 so that, as the parts are engaged, the spring rides over the part 4 at the end of the slot in the channel plate 3 until the shoulder 14 engages over the top edge of the channel plate. A housing 15 for the spring 12 may be provided at the back of the member 7. In a modification, the plate 9 is formed integrally with the member 7.
