[Class 44] In a jewellery clasp of the kind comprising an ornamental body and a safety tongue sliding into and engaging the body with a snap action, the base 1 of the body carries integral upstanding lugs 6 having shoulders 8 providing-a sealing for the flat underside of a mount 2, the parts 1, 2 being secured together by extensions 9 of the lugs which pass through side grooves 10 and are clinched into lateral grooves 11 in the upper surface of the mount.
