Abstract

482,500. Liquid-fuel injectors. BOSCH AKT.-GES., R. Sept. 9, 1937, No. 24548. Convention date, Sept. 16, 1936. [Class 7 (iii)] The needle valve b is carried in a nozzle member a which is secured to a nipple f, carrying the fuel supply pipe, by a cap d which is screwed into the engine cylinder. The valve spring h is housed in a recess in the nipple which forces a disc e against the nozzle, member. The lift of the valve is limited by the lower face of the disc e. Fuel leakage is led away through a bore s or through a bore in an annular flange connected, to the recess. In a modified construction the fuel supply and leakage pipes are connected to separate flanges which are held against a reduced part of the nipple by a screw cap.
