Abstract

362,815. Fuel injectors. MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG NœRNBERG AKT.- GES., 7, Stadtbachstrasse, Augsburg, Germany. April 7, 1931, No. 10265. Convention date, May 8, 1930. [Class 7 (iii).] The upper portion of an injector body is of conical form and has mounted thereon a member d to which a rigid thick-walled fuel feed pipe f is attached, the member d being rotatable, prior to securing it to the injector, to facilitate the attachment of the rigid pipe. An annular groove in the member d places the fuel-supply passage into communication with a fuel passage k in the injector body and also with a passage n which is normally closed by a safety or relief valve m. Leakage of fuel from the pipe connection and along the injection valve stem a enters a second annular groove q via passages s and r respectively and joins the overflow passage o leading from the safety valve m.
