[Class 20 (ii)] A multiple scaffold clamp comprises interconnected saddle members for receiving the scaffold members and a hinged clamping member for each saddle member so arranged that the axis of at least one of the scaffold members does not intersect the axes of the others. As shown in Fig. 1, the cradles 11<1>, 11<11> of two clamps are hinged directly to the extremities of the main cradle 11, the hinge-bolts 19 of the cradles, also serving as the hingebolts for the clamping bolts 151, 15<11> of the main clamping member 12. The scaffold members A, B, C are clamped in the main and auxiliary saddles by semi-cylindrical clamping members 12, 12<1>, 12<11>, and the scaffold members B and C are adjustable in a plane at rightangles to the axis of the scaffold member A and their axes do not intersect. In a modification, Fig. 3, the auxiliary saddle members 11<1>, 11<11> are pivoted directly to the main saddle member 11 by means of a common hinge-pin 22, the scaffold members B, C in this case being relatively angularly adjustable in the plane, or parallel to the plane, containing the axis of the main scaffold member A. In a further modification, Fig. 6, the auxiliary saddle members are disposed on the side of the main saddle member 11 remote from the axis of the main scaffold member A so that the axes of the scaffold members may be adjusted relatively in parallel planes ; in this example, the main clamping member 12 is provided with a hooked-shaped ear 212 and a slotted extension 212<1>, so that on release of the clamping bolts 26 the member may be moved axially in a direction parallel to the axis of the main scaffold member A to give a quick release.
