811,427. Scaffolding. KWIKFORM Ltd. Nov. 23, 1955 [Nov. 24, 1954; Sept. 30, 1955], Nos. 34017/54 and 27821/55. Class 20(2) [Also in Group XIV] A horizontal scaffold tube 16 has a socket 18 at one or both ends which receives a ledger tube 24 and one or, in Fig. 2, two vertical tubes 27, 34 of plain configuration so as to be incapable of engagement with the end edges of the socket, a screw 33 clamping the tube 34 and a screw 30 clamping the ledger 24 against the tube 27 which is thus clamped in the socket 18. The bottom of the socket 18 is secured to a short tube 15 by a short sleeve 32 welded inside both parts. The tube 27 rests inside the bracket on top of the sleeve. In Fig. 5 a tube 16 has a short tube 15 welded at right angles at each end and a screw clamp 28 in the angle so formed, to clamp the tubes 24, 27 between which is a pressure member 38 accommodated in a hole in the tube 15 and supported by an ear 39 in a slot in the tube 16. The tube 27 passes right through the tube 15. The tube 16 may be telescopically adjustable. Specifications 642,367, 642,383, 642,386, 713,877 and 811,428 are referred to.
