697,750. Chimney and roof scaffolding. SPROUL, J. J. D., Feb. 28, 1952 [Feb. 28, 1951], No. 4798/51. Addition to 651,175. Class 20(ii) The shoes 2 clamping the scaffolding the parent Specification to a chimney are mounted on hinged clamps 3 in order that they can be clamped on the bars 1, which in this case are scaffolding tubes, by screws 6. An extension of the hinge pin 8 of the clamp 3 is welded between flanges 9 of a split sleeve 7 slidable on the tube 1 and the flanges 9 are welded direct to the shoe 2 or connected by toggle links 13 to a sleeve 12 sliding on the tube and carrying a shoe 2.
