478,065. Closures for collapsable tubes. GATES, G. F., and GESTETNER, Ltd., D. July, 11, 1936, No. 19313. [Class 125 (iii)] A self-opening ball-valve closure for a collapsable tube comprises a cage 3 which limits the movement of the ball towards the delivery aperture 8 when the tube is pressed. The ball 5 is pressed downwardly by a spring 11 and the contents pass through longitudinal slots 6 when the ball is lifted from its seating by internal pressure. The mouth of the tube is spun over the cage.
