560,545. Closures for collapsable tubes &c. PERNU, L. Nov. 14, 1942, No. 16129. Convention date, Oct. 22, 1941. [Class 125 (iii)] A closure for a collapsable tube &c., having a neck 7, comprises a tubular body of rubber 8, tightly fitting the neck 7 and slit inwardly at 12, preferably obliquely, to define lips 11, forming a discharge orifice, the lips being yieldably pressed together by two U-shaped wire members, the portions 14 of which overlie the lips and the legs 17, 18 of which pass twice through the material of the closure member to be finally bent downwardly upon the outer surface of the closure member. The member 8 may comprise screw threads co-acting with those in the neck 7 of the container.
