Abstract
426,588. Closures for collapsable tubes. RUETZ, K., 16, Badenerstrasse, Zurich, Switzerland. May 18, 1934, No. 15067. [Class 125 (iii)] A closure for a collapsable tube comprises a resilient longitudinal slide 6 and a closure member 12, means 16 for raising the closure member in the opening movement and releasing it on the closing movement to permit the part 12 to be pressed on the mouth of the tube. The slide 6 may have a downwardly directed locking flap which secures it in the closed position, and also a thumb piece for operating purposes. The member 16 is made from wire and may be arranged to press the closing member on to its seating in the closed position. Several modifications of the invention are shown and described.
