468,549. Closures for collapsable tubes. RUETZ, K. Sept. 26, 1936, No. 26158. [Class 125 (iii)] A slidable closure for collapsable tubes &c. comprises a wedge-shaped member 6, 7 the front part 7<1> of which carries a packing member 12. In the closed position the member 6, 7 is forced against the mouth of the tube by a sliding member 5. Guide plates 32 engage in recesses 31<1>, 31<11> in the closed and open positions and slide in an edge between the recesses when the cap is being operated. Guide bars 9 slide in grooves 10 in the head of the tube. The member 6, 7 may be formed as a single element, or, as shown, of two parts 6, 7 pivoted together.
