397,447. Stoppers for vacuum flasks. MITTELBACH, R. and MITTELBACH, A., (trading as MITTELBACH & CO., C.), 1, Hauptstrasse, Langewiesen, Thuringia, Germany. June 6, 1933, No. 16306. [Class 125 (iii).] A closure for a vacuum flask is provided by spinning a sheet-metal sleeve into grooves in the neck of the flask and mounting on the sleeve a pivoted bail carrying a stopper to close the mouth of the flask. As shown, a rubber ring p is inserted between the upper edge of the sleeve and the flask neck, and recesses q in the sleeve form a housing for the ends of toggle pivots r which carry a bail s passing through a stopper t. In a modification the pivots are attached to a metal ring engaging in one of the spun grooves of the sleeve.
