[Class 112] A bobbin thread case B mounted in a shuttle A has a free ended tension leaf spring 7 and a thread guide 16 extending across the exit hole 12 of the bobbin thread 5 in front of the free end of the spring to prevent sudden jerks of the thread lifting the spring to allow uneven tension. The spring 7 is applied circumferentially and secured by a screw 13. The guide comprises an arm 16 secured to the bobbin case by a screw 14 and having a threadreceiving notch 17 to guide the thread to the usual rotation-restraining arm 6.
