473,873. Sewing-machines. LEMPERT, L. April 2, 1937, No. 9368. [Class 112] A finger guard for sewing-machines is slidable on or in the needle-bar and extends to the presser foot. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the guard consists of a piece of bent metal wire h, sliding in a slot in the needle-bar f<1> and having a bent part h<1> secured to the presser bar c by the screw d. In the form shown in Fig. 3, the guard h is secured to the presser foot by a part h<1> entering a hole therein.
