[Class 112] The Specification describes the machine for sewing buttons on to work forming the subject of Specification 476,039, and claims a machine for sewing on buttons having stitch-forming mechanism actuated to form automatically two groups of stitches, each comprising a predetermined number of attaching stitches and a tying stitch, and means to sever the thread between the formation of the two groups of stitches at a predetermined point beneath the work. Specifications 476,079, 476,080, and 476,082 also are referred to.
