Abstract

406,218. Sewing - machines. FAIRWEATHER, W. C., 65, Chancery Lane, London.-(Singer Manufacturing Co. ; Elizabeth, New Jersey, U.S.A.) Aug. 24, 1933, No. 23526. [Class 112.] A thread case for a loop-taker comprises a base 8 and a cap 9 which are locked together by spring pressed sliding members 38, 39. The members 38, 39 are moved to the locking position where they engage base apertures 20, 21 by the depression of an arm 49 which turns a cam 48. The movement of the arm 49 is limited by a stop 54. The thread is led out from the centre of a cop 55, passed through a threading slot 30 and over a guide 26, through a slit 31, and under a tension spring 34 to the delivery notch 35. The guide 26 is described in Specification 405,909. Specifications 318,454 and 328,535, [both in Class 112, Sewing &c.], are referred to.
