370,304. Sewing-machines. FAIRWEATHER, W. C., 65, Chancery Lane, London.-(Singer Manufacturing Co. ; Elizabeth, New Jersey, U.S.A.) Aug. 19, 1931, No. 23332. [Class 112.] A bobbin thread case has a threadtension leaf spring applied to its outer surface, the spring being arched and capable of being pressed against the case to increase the tension over wide limits, by a screw. The spring 16 is' detachably anchored in a slot 14 of the case and applies tension to the under-thread 13 at the point 24, the case being flattened at 26. The tension can be increased for sewing on cord &c. by a screw 18. The end 25 of the spring is bent so as to be clear of the case whatever the tension, and is bent to form a thread delivery eye 22.
