[Class 112] The under-thread t of a doubleloop stitching machine is led to the. rotary take-up 6 along a tube 9 of rectangular cross-section let into the machine work-plate. The tube is cut throughout its length by a sinuous slot 12. A sewing thread, after being threaded through the eyes 11 and 7 and stitched upon the outside of the tube can be rubbed through the slot by the passage of the finger over the length of the tube. The cut in the tube allows the tube to be a spring fit in the work-plate slot.
