474,327. Cooling cylinders. SAULNIER, R. Dec. 22, 1936, No. 35148. Convention date, Dec. 27, 1935. [Class 7 (ii)] [Also in Group XIII] A liquid-circulating system of an aircraft engine is kept full of liquid at all inclinations of the aircraft by the provision of a supply tank 10 at the rear in addition to the normal supply tank 9 at the front of .the engine, the tops of the tanks being connected together by a pipe 13. The tank 9 is connected to the system by two pipes 11, 14 and has a vent pipe 15 for the escape of steam, a spring-pressed release valve 17 being located behind the engine where it is free from the dynamic effect of evolutions of the aircraft. An inwardlyopening safety valve is provided in the filler cap 18.
