Abstract

<PICT:0473108/III/1> A device for separating liquids such as gasoline from water and from air comprises parallel closely - spaced discs or cones 3, between which the liquid passes from the centre to the periphery emerging into a casing whence the heavier impurities settle into a chamber 5 and the air into a chamber 17 while the gasoline is withdrawn at 14. The air chamber has a float-operated discharge valve 16. The discs 3 may be attached to concentric tubes 2 in the inlet pipe, which subdivide the current.
