Abstract
466,020. Wireless receiving systems. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and ESPLEY, D. C. Nov. 14, 1935, No. 31567. [Class 40 (v)] A dipole aerial for the reception of short waves is used simultaneously for the reception of medium or long waves. Leads 2, 3 connect the aerial to the primary 4 of a transformer coupling it to the short-wave receiver ; a point on the winding 4 is connected through a high-frequency choke 11 to earth through an impedance 13 which is coupled to the medium and/or long-wave receiver. As far as medium and long waves are concerned, leads 2, 3 and the portions of the impedance 4, act as a single conductor. Specifications 453,484 and 460,570 are referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 453,484.
