Abstract
463,600. Liquid - fuel injectors. BOSCH AKT.-GES., R. July 17, 1936, No. 19818. Convention date, July 20, 1935. [Class 7 (iii)] In a fuel injector having a pin valve, to prevent combustion residues on the pin from causing a wide dispersion of the fuel jet, the nozzle body 5 is conically flared at the outlet gap 3, and the depth of the flare 6 is sufficient to permit the free end of the pin to lie within the flare when the valve is open. The depth of the flare is smaller than the lift of the valve. If the pin has a conical constriction 4<1> and a conical enlargement 4<11> at its free end the angle of the flare 6 is equal to the angle of the conical enlargement 4<11>.
