463,262. Coke-oven doors. KOPPERS' INDUSTRIEELE MAATSCHAPPIJ NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP, H. Sept. 25, 1935, No. 26584. Convention date, Sept. 25, 1934. [Class 123 (i)] A packing frame 34 around a coke-oven door is pressed against the door frame 12 by screws 35 and is carried by a flexible plate 32, which is so held against the bases 25 of the bosses 24 carrying the cross-bars 26 by means of which the door is secured so as to allow the plate to expand and contract relatively to the door plate 14. A layer of asbestos 37 is placed between the flexible plate and the door plate. The screws 33, 35 are carried by angle bars 29 which are secured by bars 31 to the bases of the bosses 24. The door frame 9 is secured by bolts 6 and nuts 7 with spring washers 8.
