Class 55 (1) A coke oven door 1 is sealed to the door frame 2 by a metal band 3 which embraces the door body and is secured thereto by hook bolts 5, the band being formed with a hardened metal knife edge 4 which engages the frame. Local adjustment of the seal is made by striking the rear edge of the band with a hammer.
