824,035. Coke-oven doors. LIMBERG, J. May 3, 1957, No. 14125/57. Class 55 (1). A self-sealing coke-oven door has a sealing frame 1 which is adjustable by means of cams 8 which bear on the shoulder formed by a thickend portion 7 of the frame 1, and is provided with thrust screws 14 which act on the thickened portion 13 if, due to accumulation of tar, the cams 8 are not able to ensure a proper seal. The frame 1 has elongated slots to pass the bolts 12 carrying the cams 8, and the edges 3 or 3a of the frame which engages the sealing surface 5 of the door frame 16 may form a continuation of the main part of the frame 1, Fig. 3, or be offset therefrom, Fig. 1.
