783,275. Coke-oven doors. KOPPERS GES., H. June 11, 1954 [Sept. 26, 1953], No. 17260/54. Addition to 701,570. Class 55 (1). The sealing frame of Z-shape cross-section of the parent Specification is modified by a reduction in the length of the limb 14 which is applied against the door frame 7 and a compensatory thickening of the web 19 in the vicinity 35 of the limb. The amount of cooling surface presented by the seal to the distillation gases is thereby reduced.
