694,555. Coke-oven doors. KOPPERS GES., H. Jan. 14, 1952 [Jan. 19, 1951], No. 1049/52. Class 55(i) A coke-oven door-frame 11 of L-section against which a sealing-frame 7 carried by the oven-door 4 is adapted to seal, is resiliently mounted on the reinforcing ironwork 9 adjacent the oven mouth so that the forwardly projecting limit 12 is flush with the walls of the oven and the end 16 of the limit 12 provides a surface against which the frame 17 seals. The door-frame 11 has ribs 15 which space the frame from the ironwork 9 on which it is mounted by nuts on studs 23, the studs 23 being provided with plate springs 13.
