350,368. Coke oven doors. WILHELM, R., (trading as WILHELM, MASCHINENFABRIK, R.), Altenessen, Essen, Germany. Nov. 3, 1930, No. 33023. Convention date, Nov. 2, 1929. [Class 123 (i).] A joint is made between a coke oven door 1 and the frame 4, by a knife-edge member 3, which has only a small portion exposed to the oven, and is prevented from tilting by being wedged into an undercut groove 5 by metal strips 6 and asbestos packing 7. Screws 7<1> are provided to adjust the member 3. In the form shown in Fig. 3 an L-shaped member 8, 9 is guided by the body of the door, against which it is held by a bar 11 fixed to brackets 12, which hold springs 10 on a ledge of the door.
