Abstract
340,903. Coke ovens. SOC. G•NERALE DE FOURS A COKE SYSTEMES LECOCQ, 215, Chaussee d'Alsemberg, Brussels. April 12, 1930, No. 11681. Convention date, April 13, 1929. Addition to 336,809, [Class 55 (i), Coking &c.]. [Class 55 (i).] In coke ovens lined with metallic walls spaced from the outer refractory chamber, as described in the parent Specification, the lining walls are made of superimposed triangular plates 11 arranged between metallic uprights 1 formed of four parts 2 .. 5 which constitute a frame. The plates are tongued and grooved for assembly, small holes 13 being left due to truncation of their acute angles, these holes being covered by the tongues of the frames. The parts of the frame have projections 10 by means of which they are assembled and supported. Expansion, due to the inclined joints 17 takes place in an upward direction, side thrusts on the frames being avoided.
