Doors.-In a coke-oven or like door of the kind in which the metal frame is cast round the bricks c forming the lining, a space d is left between the lining-bricks and the frame for the circulation of air or steam. The air &c. may be supplied under pressure, and is admitted to the space through openings near the bottom of the door and led off through openings near the top. Specifications 22484/03 and 3628/11 are referred to in the complete Specification, and 129,605, (Class 55 (i), Coking &c.], in the Provisional Specification. According to the Provisional Specification the construction is applicable to furnace doors in general.
