397,385. Doors for resisting fluid pressure. GROVES, W. W., 30, Southampton Buildings, London.-(Otto & Co., Ges., Dr. C. ; 9, Christstrasse, Bochum, Germany.) Feb. 13, 1933, No. 4379. [Class 123 (i).] In a coke-oven door comprising an outer elastic plate a and an inner firebrick protecting door e, the protecting door is suspended from a bracket b fixed to the upper part of the elastic plate The door e comprises a number of bricks threaded on suspensior rods c and rests on a supporting plate f carried by the rods. The elastic plate is provided with upper and lower pressure bolts j, k, the upper bolt having rollers which rest on inclined surfaces of hooks fixed to the oven structure and the lower bolt being operated by a screw. Screws r are distributed over the periphery of the plate for the final tightening of the door plate.
