457,015. Optical-projection apparatus. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN, Emmasingel, Eindhoven, Holland. June 3, 1936, No. 15557. Convention date, June 28, 1935. [Class 97 (i)] [See also Group XI] In projectors comprising interchangeable light sources 3, mounted within one or more casings 2 movable relative to a fixed supporting member 1, the casings being traversed by a cooling liquid such as water, the liquid is arranged in the path of the directly emitted light rays and optically contacts with the light source and with a condenser system, or part thereof, moving with the casing. The casing 2 may be directly closed by a condenser lens 6, as shown in Fig. 2, or the lens 6 may be cemented by Canada-balsam 12, or the like, to a flat glass plate 4 closing the casing 2, as shown in Fig. 3. In both forms, the second lens 7 may be stationary, or it may move with the lens 6, and it may be larger in diameter than the lens 6. The latter may be in the form of a glass or liquid lens, and each light source 3 may be linear or spherical, with or without a reflector behind it.
