Abstract

[Class 97 (i)] The illuminating system for narrow-film projectors comprises a large concave mirror 2 and a lamp 1 having a filament 4 of such shape, size, and disposition in relation to the mirror, that the light patch produced at the gate, without supplementary imaging means, is substantially coextensive with the gate aperture 3; the filament may be coiled and suspended in the form of a coil, and a supplementary condenser 6 may be provided between the lamp and gate to converge the light emitted by the filament on the side away from the mirror.
