Abstract
429,357. Lamps with trough-shaped reflectors. EDISON SWAN ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., 123, Queen Victoria Street, London, and WHEAT, H. C., Bloxham, West Drive, Harrow Weald Park, Middlesex. Nov. 29, 1933, No. 33495. [Classes 75 (ii) and 75 (iv)] A linear light source A is combined with a part cylindrical stepped lens BC and a troughshaped reflector adapted to reflect all light issuing from the source which does not fall upon the lens in part direct into the beam and the remainder back through the source. The parts DF, EG of the reflector are parabolic, with focus at A, and the part DHJE is semicylindrical. The arrangement may be such that the lens produces a parallel core and the reflector a diverging exterior beam.
