Abstract
447,074. Electric incandescent lamps with internal screens. LAMPE YVEL AUTO-LAMPE & CIE ANCIENS ETABLISSEMENTS L. LEVY ET A. MONNIER, 11, Rue Torricelli, Paris. Nov. 16, 1934, No. 33043. Convention date, Nov. 17, 1933. [Class 39 (ii)] In order to ensure that the cap is secured correctly relatively to the bulb of an electric lamp provided with at least one filament which is partly surrounded by a screen, the screen 3 is provided with extensions 9 which, as shown, may be disposed on the front portion thereof, so that by optically projecting the screen 3 on to a projection screen the bulb can be adjusted until the extensions 9 are both in the horizontal plane before the cap 1 and bulb 2 are secured together. In the example the bulb is placed in the cap and its internal parts are disposed in a horizontal parallel light beam from a projection lantern. The bulb is then rotated about its longitudinal axis until the shadowgraphs of the two extensions 9 are coincident upon a screen. When in this position the bulb is secured to the cap. The screen co-operates with an auxiliary filament 7 mounted in front of a main filament 8.
