Abstract

[Class 40 (v)] In a push-pull detector, more particularly for use in television, the voltages fed to the detectors are rendered symmetrical with respect to earth by spacial displacement of the secondary of the input transformer relative to the primary which has a large stray-effect. The Figure shows a primary comprising a long coil 2 and a secondary divided into two separate series connected coil halves 9, 10 spaced apart. Additionally, an earthed screen may be provided between the windings comprising a wire net cut open axially. Alternatively, equality of terminal potentials with respect to earth may be ensured by variable loads on the secondary windings provided by the differential condenser 15, 16.
