446,346. Valve amplifying circuits; filter circuits. RADIOAKT.-GES. D. S. LOEWE, 10, Wiesenweg, Steglitz, Berlin. Oct. 27, 1934, No. 30853. Convention date, Oct. 27, 1933. [Classes 40 (iii) and 40 (v)] A wide band of frequencies, e.g. a band 1500-2500 kc. for use in television, is evenlv transmitted by a transformer the natural frequencies of whose primary and secondary coils 2, 3 are situated beyond the limits of the band. The primary coil 2 may be resonant below the lower limit, and the secondary coil 3 above the higher limit, or vice versa. Damping resistances 8, 9 shunted across the respective coils have a value of about one-tenth of the resonance resistance of the coils, but greater than the impedance of the coils at the operating frequencies. Alternatively, small series resistances 10, 11 may be used or the coil windings may be of resistance wire. The self-capacities of the coils are indicated by condensers 4, 5. The transformer may be arranged as an output transformer for the valve amplifier 1.
