Abstract

454,242. Electrolytic condensers. ELEKTRIZITATS AKT. - GES. HYDRAWERK, 32, Drontheimerstrasse, Berlin. March 25, 1935, No. 9308. Convention date, June 2, 1934. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Sept. 25, 1935.] [Class 37] An electrolytic condenser for high voltages is constructed of multiple units connected in series, the connections between the units being made within the common casing of the complete condenser and provided with leads to terminals on the exterior. In the example shown diagrammatically, two units a, b are enclosed in one casing c, there being three external terminals, an anode f, a joint terminal d and a cathode e. Methods of applying testing instruments or forming voltages, after assembly, to the various part-capacities are described. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also examples of multipleunit electrolytic condensers in which the series connection between the units is effected by joining separate external terminals. The units may be superposed and the junction may be made with fuse-wire. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
