Abstract

BRITISH THOMSON - HOUSTON CO., Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London.- (Assignees of Allgemeine Elektricitõts-Ges.; 2, Friedrich Karl-Ufer, Berlin) Sept. 28, 1933, No. 26745. Convention date, Sept. 28, 1932. [Class 40 (v)] In a condenser-relaxation circuit for generating oscillations, utilizing a grid - controlled gaseous discharge tube, the grid voltage is taken from the condenser charging or discharging resistance. As shown, the condenser C is charged from a source B through one or more resistances R, P. The condenser discharges through the tube T, the grid of which is connected through a resistance Rg to a slider on the resistance P. In a modification, the condenser is charged through the tube T, and discharges through a resistance connected directly across the condenser. The grid voltage is taken from a slider on this resistance. A synchronizing voltage may be impressed on the grid of the tube ; and a separate bias voltage may also be employed. A resistance may be connected across the condenser; and the charging resistance R may be inductive.
