Abstract

395,297. Converting. ARDENNE, M. VON, 19, Jungfernstieg, Lichterfelde, Berlin. March 1, 1933, No. 6187. Convention date, March 7, 1932. [Class 38 (ii).] A condenser 3, whose charge and discharge produces oscillations of saw-tooth form, is coupled to consuming apparatus 8 by a thermionic valve 6 having a negative grid bias such that no grid current flows and a grid leak resistance 7 of the order of 10 megohms. This prevents the charge on the condenser leaking away to distort the wave form. The condenser 8 is charged through a diode 2 and discharged by a glow lamp 4. The valve 6 preferably has a small anode resistance.
