Abstract

399,408. Converting. RADIOAKT.- GES. D. S. LOEWE, 10, Wiesenweg, Steglitz, and SCHLESINGER, K., 39, Friedrichstrasse, Friedrichshagen, both in Berlin. March 16, 1933, No. 7947. Convention date, March 17, 1932. [Class 38 (ii).] The frequency of a generator of relaxation oscillations is controlled by an alternating potential applied to the discharge tube 3 which is so arranged that impulses in one direction only are effective. The Figure shows a. condenser 2 charged through a tube 1 and dis-, charged by tube 3 which has a negative bias such that it is operated only by the positive peaks of the control potential. The discharge tube preferably has a high mutual conductance and is a screen-grid tube, and operated at the lower bend of the valve characteristic. A limiting amplifier 4 may be provided with a transformer coupled to the discharge tube 3.
