Abstract
669,395. X-ray apparatus. SCHULMEISTER, L. Sept. 27, 1948 [Dec. 7, 1945], No. ,25101/48. Class 98 (i). [Also in Group XXXV] X-ray apparatus in which two transformers are provided for energizing an X-ray tube 1 is characterized in that, for producing a regulating voltage, in addition to a high-voltage transformer 2 which produces the basic voltage there is provided an auxiliary transformer 6 which is separated in space from the transformer 2 and which produces a variable secondary voltage, the secondary of the transformer 6 being connected in series with the secondary of the transformer 2, the additional voltage of transformer 6 being added vectorially to the basic voltage generated by transformer 2. The secondary 8, 9 of transformer 6 may be sub-divided stepwise, part or all of the secondary of transformer 2, which may be divided into two parts 4, 5 with part or all of secondary 8, 9 connected between them. The primaries 3, 7 of the two transformers may be connected to a common power supply 14. Specification 413,138 is referred to.
